Watch a bit of Spanish football & needed several chances to score 1 for Real Madrid. Also anytime he attempted a pass outside the box he gave it away.
There is a reason Man UTD left him go on loan, Real Madrid didn't sign him permanently & Man UTD are willing to let him go again.

He wouldn't be for me but our needs are desperate.

Re: Javier Hernandez .... In Advanced Talks
Yes and the reason is that they don't feel he is a good enough striker for them, we however are West Ham, we aren't in the CL and we won't be competing for the title this season, so I'm going to go our on a limb and suggest he is more than good enough for us and where our club is at right now.

It's in the newspapers but I suspect this is old stories rehashed by know-nothing journalists short of stories. I actually have stopped taking notice of stories from newspapers. If we were actually signing Hernandez it would have been on Twitter from someone...

That sounds about right. Avoid.

Re: Javier Hernandez .... In Advanced Talks
Real Madrid create more chances than we do.
I'd be concerned that if he joined he'd be like Robbie Keane was for us missing chances week in week out.
If it was just the missed chances that would be bad enough but he was also constantly giving the ball away when Benzema was injured last season.
Real Madrid could afford his sloppy play & 5 misses to 1 goal ratio.
West Ham cannot.

i'd be delighted if he signed, reckon he could be a real hero for us.

Re: Javier Hernandez .... In Advanced Talks
He only started 7 games, still managed to bag 7 goals and 4 assists with his average goals to minutes being 1 in 120. Yep, not good enough for us.

OK we'll see whether the newspapers have got it right while Twitter is silent about it...

Would be a great signing! Don't care about how much he's on. Carroll stealing 100 bags a week for doing nothing and it's not my money. Would be one hell of a coup to get him on board.

Nothing wrong with some old fashioned opinions, why does fucking everywhere have to be about stats these days?

Personally I'm not a fan, and I don't need to explain my reasoning for that, but some like him and I respect that too.

So because he's not good enough for Real Madrid and Man Utd he's not good enough for us?

That wasn't really the point. The point was they're both as reliable (or unreliable) as each other.

Oh what Trevor? You mean the WHNews story repeating a newspaper story...?

Out of curiosity, which twitter users do you follow and believe when it comes to transfer gossip?

By the same token, there's a reason he has played 125 times for Man Utd and Real Madrid with a strike rate in 1/3.

He may not be quite good enough to feature regularly in one of the top sides, but he'd be a fantastic acquisition for us IMO.

Re: Javier Hernandez .... In Advanced Talks
Marston,
I think you will find that journalists generally now use Twitter for a source for their made up stories. There are one or two journalists that are worth reading but the best information is spread around on Twitter. Yes you have to be selective but I just don't believe that WH are close to Hernandez or even making a worthwhile bid for him.

Re: Javier Hernandez .... In Advanced Talks
In the 2nd leg of the Champions league tie v Atletico Madrid he scored the winning goal. But he needed 7 attempts to score that goal. 5 of which were off target. I had Real Madrid backed to win the Champions league & to win that game on the night & couldn't believe how wasteful he was.
If people think tthat's good enough, that's fine.
I'm just expressing a concern that he needs a lot of chances to get 1 goal.
BTW he got 2 goals in his next game in a 4-2 victory @ Celta Vigo & he looked sharp in that but that was kamikaze defending by both sides & it could have finished 8-6.
